If you are a Glenwood fan, I'd be really complimentary of ESL today. If you get beat by 40 at home in the playoffs, I'd want everyone to know how good of a team you played. What does it say about your team if you lose like that to an undisciplined team that had 20+ enforced penalties and 200+ penalty yards.
39 points. And being the only team in Illinois not to be clocked by estl this year yet will have to suffice.

True. Nothing to hang your head about if your only loss on the season is to esl. Just don't think it does your program any good to harp on how poorly your opponent played if they beat you by 39 at home.

No dog in the fight here, but honest question, why did ESL do their postgame gathering and breakdown on the Glenwood logo at the 50?

Watching the end of the game that struck me as something that could be perceived as disrespectful.

Normally each team shakes up and goes to one side of the field or end zone and the other team goes the opposite way.
Lol you know why.

It was a very hostile environment at that point. Security told us to stay put bc cg fans were running up to us
Glenwood allowed hundreds of friends, family, students, etc on to the field immediately after the game. Cant say ive ever seen that before. The esl players would have had to walk through all of them, plus the entire CG team and staff to get to the locker room. Probably not a good idea.

Still surprised how little is said about multiple CG adults yelling at esl and needing to be restrained after the game. Do we only expect discipline and class from teenagers playing a game?

As noted in the game thread, I distinctly heard someone holler “get off our field.”
I was talking to someone tonight witnessed something similar. The staff working were going around telling fans to relax a bit or they would have to leave the game. Supposedly a few responses were, “I have a kid on the team”. Not sure why someone would think that gives them the right to act like a 12 year old. And some moms were turning around and pointing their butts at estl. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish.

This was mild compared to most things that happened. It takes great Discpline to not let any of it affect the game! Great test of character.

Certainly no tony chachere's.
Yeah, as we all kind of knew... Glenwood was more that weird Geaux Creole stuff, the less sodium one... yuck :ROFLMAO:
Might have just been Great Value low-sodium seasoning salt based on the antics of the Glenwood faithful...
Whoops! No, not at Glenwood... not the Glenwood people who turn their noses up to you if you say you're from anywhere not named Chatham... They be acting more Decatur than Decatur these days south and southeast of the Capitol city...
