two kids, quite different in skill sets, are Rufus Harvey and Asher Morgan. Harvey catches the football and makes great plays. Most must think he is under-sized is the only reason I can imagine there aren’t more takers. Morgan has an accurate big arm and is very football savvy. He has just average speed which must his drawback. Harvey is 5’11 and 170. He is from Starkville High. Morgan is 6’4+ and 220. He is from Philadelphia High School. Someone is going to be getting two really good players. I know there will be others. These are just two I am familiar with.

I wasn’t impressed with Morgan whatsoever. We aren’t missing out on anything there. Rufus is more 5’8, 160. He could possibly get an offer late if we miss on someone.

Just recently Decamerion Richardson has been popping up as our recruit and I'm pretty sure he will be a wr for us if he sticks. He played wr and cb but we already have 3 cb recruited. He is a 3 star but looks good

Harvey is a great high school player but I don’t see him being a really good college player.

Could be wrong but I don’t see it.

I do not know how often you saw Morgan, but your viewpoint is completely understood unless you have seen his workouts which are quite impressive. The 4 or 5 games I saw him play consisted of him running for his life early and often. He still was able to be successful and certainly can take a hit. He may not be SEC talent but would be a good fit at many other schools. Perhaps I am wrong. Rufus has that motor. It is disappointing he will not play in the all star game. Latest I’ve heard is Morgan is still on schedule to play in the NS Ms all star game Dec 21.

Harvey is missing the MS/AL all star game to take his ACT....I guess if he passes it, he may get an offer... I don’t know why any kid who thinks they may play college ball doesn’t get the ACT handled their junior year.

Morgan can play. Can make all the throws, has football IQ that is off the charts. Field vision is better than most at that age. He’s not a fast runner though and I think that’s why he isn’t getting a lot of attention. Needs to play in a pro style offense. If he can find a landing spot that fits his talent he will be a good one. Great kid as well who will be valedictorian of his class. Threw for 3000 yards this year and played the entire year with a broken bone in his foot. He’s tough as nails. Didn’t miss a game despite the foot. He’s the kind of kid you want on your team.

Morgan isn’t mobile. He struggles mightily under pressure. He’s a big kid and he had two good WRs but he’s not close to an SEC QB- Not close. Samford is a good spot for him. Samford is a dang good school.
I do “think” Rufus gets a shot if he can qualify and we don’t fill up.

How does Harvey compare to Jameon Lewis?

I've never seen Harvey play other than some highlights, but people always talk about his small size and okay speed, but great change of direction. Reminds me of Jameon who was really good for us and could have done even more had he not gotten hurt at the end of his career.

SR made it sound like he definitely has some academic work to do including getting a qualifying ACT score.
