Not a good look for our staff. We might have 5 D1 players per year from the state of Nebraska and we can’t even land all 5? Not like we have another instate team to compete against.

With all his offers, he commits to them before any official visits? oh well. next.

Fleck is a crazy relentless recruiter that puts a ton of pressure on recruits to commit as soon as possible. Ask Bryce Benhart's family about that. Bryce didn't buy into his schtick but some recruits love it.

maybe his top two inches are put together different than most, he don't need to walk the tunnels of campus to get a feel for it.......he can imagine the beauty of it all winter long

Its not good no, but facts are facts. Nebraska hasn't been good for 20 years. These kids didn't grow up seeing good Nebraska football. They didn't grow up worshiping Nebraska from birth on. They didn't dream of playing for Nebraska no matter what. That connection with Nebraska youth is long gone. So looking at it from a recruit stand point. You can go to school who just won 11 games and look to be on the way up and still close to home. Or you can go to a team who hasn't been bowling in 3 years. Until Frost and Co and prove they can put out a good product we will probably be 50 50 on most of these type of in state guys.

Damn, this is just depressing. We might be the new Minnessota where we'll be irrelevant from here on out.. We are already approaching 20 mediocre years and honestly don't see how this will ever get to an elite status while we are in the B10.

If this isn't on everyone mind, they aren't paying attention. There will come a point where the Neb name means about as much as MN from a legacy stand point to recruits. Frost needs to flip this and flip it fast.

That’s a bummer, early in the process but he’s been on campus more than a few times right? Not like he’s never been on campus and a visit would change everything.

If he wants to be a Golden Gopher........so be it. We'll be just fine! Winking

Will we? We haven't been fine in a very long time. Only seeing games pre-2001 during the COVID19 hiatus has been a rough reminder that we haven't been where we need to be in a very long time.

He didn’t even have Minnesota in his original top 3. Where did this come from?
Exactly , like I said this seems like a young kid made a pressured, hasty decision. I think we have a good shot to flip him by signing day. Fleck is a great talker. He is like a great used car salesman. He doesn't take no for an answer and pushes and pushes and pushes until he gets you convinced that 1985 honda is a Ferrari. When you get home and have time to think you realize you got swindled.

Article on TOS makes it sound like he is convinced he can play right away at Minnesota. Good luck to him, I guess

I think Fisher has been recruiting just fine. Smokin
