So.... State is now advertising 1 non-con game and 2 sec games for $200-230 a ticket. For seats in the lower level too. No Bulldog club donation required.

Selmon sure is making it easier for State fans to buy tickets. However we shall see.

I'm sure Robbie Faulk will blame faculty and staff when these seats are opposing Colors.

But you can get a seat in many sections of the LL with no BC donation required. It is up to the entire fan base to buy those tickets.

It could end up being a bad look for State on the GA, TX and Tenn game.

Do you really not have a problem with our faculty selling their discounted lower level seats to opposing fans? Because that’s what Robbie and most others had an issue with. They should have their a**es in the upper deck. We are coming off a 2-10 year this year so obviously we are trying to do whatever we can to get butts in seats. This isn’t an ideal time to say the least for football and ticket sales. Context and situational awareness is an actual thing.

IF!...IF! ... we can come into the UTn game at 4-0, State will have a good crowd. But UTn travels so well, I do expect that crowd to be 25% UTn regardless.

I get the 2-10 part hurting sales. I get issuing discount tickets to drive up sales.

I do NOT appreciate the LIE that is repeated every year that faculty and staff are to blame for empty seats and opposing fans. It is an out right LIE that is repeated every year to find a scape goat for State fans themselves not showing up.

Any idiot can look at a Seating chart and see what faculty and staff get for seats and see it is 1-1/2 sections of the whole stadium. So how are they to blame when the stadium as a whole is half opposing fans.

They aren’t to blame for the entire stadium. They are 100 % to blame for their sections being over half filled with visiting fans. No one is blaming you people for the entire stadium. Just your section, of which you shouldn’t have the privilege of sitting in anyway. People that actually had to pay the BDC dues and full price are still a**holes for doing it, but at least they paid what they should have and the university benefited from it. Faculty are largely just leaches that make a profit on premier seating.

Starting this season they (faculty) had to make seat donations just like everyone else does. There is also a disclaimer on the website for EVERYBODY saying anyone CAUGHT reselling tickets is subject to losing their ticket privileges.

Well they have to pay a BC this year. So what's your next excuse?

How do you feel about MSU students wearing Bama gear or LSU gear for football games in the student section? I know that has happened many times over the years.

Also the "half their section" is a LIE. I don't believe they sell their tickets at any higher of a rate than anyone else that owns State tickets. So I don't blame them anymore than someone sitting in section 4,2, club or anywhere else.

Also their contribution to the University is well beyond the $200 donation y'all are screaming about and they deserve 50 yard line seats. 1. Because State has a difficult time as is attracting talented employees. 2. no alumni or fans are buying those seats anyways. But I don't expect you to understand that or Faulk to stop exaggerating (Lying) about it.

And this just came across my Facebook feed. 4 tickets & a parking pass for the Alcorn game for $49. If you bought full price season tickets this year, you’re a sucker.

Seriously? That’s terrible if true.

So nobody is allowed to resell the property they themselves paid good money for if they can’t make it to a game?

The faculty ticket resell issue is ultimately an MSU / Athletic Department problem….not an issue with those faculty members themselves. They are simply utilizing the perks provided by their employer to the extent that gives them the greatest benefit, just as any of us would. If the school doesn’t like it, there are a million different options on the table for addressing it. One might be to have event staff checking for faculty credentials in those portals of entry for the section. One might be to make those tickets cost the same as all others in similar parts of the stadium. One might be to reduce the number or change the location.

Bottom line though, there wouldn’t be opposing fans in the seats if State fans wanted the tickets at the current price / donation level required. And there’s no reason to just cut off our nose to spite our face by creating a situation where there are empty seats instead of opposing fans in seats.

1. OM is doing this too. But I beleive it is an empty threat by everyone.

2. The F&S section for this year is not sold out. Neither is any section of the stadium other than premium. But it has the fewest seats available on the east side to date.

3. Exactly!

The Memphis Grizzlies have this rule too but apparently they don’t enforce it. At first It pissed off a lot of longtime season ticket holders who resell some of their tickets because they couldn’t go to all 41 home games.

Whataboutism isn’t something they taught you, Mr. Professor? No, I don’t like our students wearing other teams gear, but they pay your salary. And no one is lying about your section being half filled with visitors. It’s true. We can literally all see it every single week. You aren’t entitled to anything. It’s laughable that you think you deserve any of that.

Ticket sales must be really bad
When I reluctantly renewed and was doing seat selection, literally half of the lower west side was green dots. I don't think anyone realizes just how bad season ticket sales are. Significantly jacking up prices after a 2-10 season while staring down the barrel of another bad season may be the worst decision in the history of our athletic department

My proof is that I go to every single home game every year and have eye balls. I didn’t take pictures to win an internet slap fight with a 60 year old nerd in Birkenstocks who skims from the university to make an extra 200 bucks a year.

To me it seems the university (and the Grizzlies) can disallow their events from being listed at all on StubHub, SeatGeek, etc. if that is their position. But everyone knows they aren’t going to do that.

Just a total nonsense policy that probably isn’t even worth mentioning at all in regards to the F&S ticket holders….since everyone else in the stadium is doing the same thing.

I submit Keenum making Arnett permanent HC and allowing him to wholesale fire Leachs staff and letting boosters hire their buddies then changing to offense to the wing T is the single worst decision in history. It essentially burned the program to the ground without any NIL money to rebuild at the worst possible time.

Students have to have a student I’d to sit in the student sections. Faculty has some kind of I’d they should have to present for access to faculty seating. Or, the team could be good enough that people want to go to the games rather than sell their tickets!

“There is also a disclaimer on the website for EVERYBODY saying anyone CAUGHT reselling tickets is subject to losing their ticket privileges.”

Your statement above and the text on the website are not even remotely the same thing.

My words first part, "there is a disclaimer on the website for everybody" Any dispute there so far?

My words 2nd part "reselling tickets is subject to losing their tickets privileges"
Their words 2nd part "reserves the right to cancel and refund any ticket order from any account"

If you are whining about the part of "that exhibits or has exhibited activity consistent with that of purchasing tickets with the primary intent of resale for profit" hell that has been illegal for decades, did I need to refresh your memory about that, everybody knows that? I even posted a copy of the statement from the website though below my first part just for people like you evidently. Its a given and what this whole thread is about, everybody knows that's the illegal part. If you thought I meant that nobody can sell their tickets, period, that's on you. To say my statement isn't "remotely the same thing" is dumb, like you evidently
