It may have already been discussed but I was hoping some of you insiders could throw us a bone about Mullen and Co. recruiting strategies/process and our current needs?

which is not a bad thing when guys are qualifying. He is still loading up on athletes. I think he'll look to sign a couple of corners and a 2-3 O-Linemen, but he is not that down on our o-line right now.

on the football recruiting front lately has been Penn State offering Barry Brunetti, the Memphis University School QB that Mullen has been hard after. He's a top 3 player in the state of Tennessee for the class fo 2010, has called us his leader for a while now and says we're still the team to beat. Also, Ohio State has visited Memphis and Brunetti thinks an offer might be on the way. It would be a huge pull to get this kid.

...offensive linemen. Freshmen and sophomores who eventually will be competent SEC linemen include:

RSo. Quentin Saulsberry at OG.
RSo. Addison Lawrence at OT.
RSo. D.J. Looney at C.
RSo. Dakota Merritt at OT.
RFr. Tobias Smith at OG.
RFr. Templeton Hardy at OG.
Fr. Sam Watts at C.
Fr. Gabriel Jackson at OT.

What we need are a couple of recruits, like a Damien Robinson, to come in and be the replacement for Derek Sherrod at LT. I know Coach Mullen went fishing with Coach Samsel and his son, plans more fishing trips, and supposedly a crack has formed in the door to Olive Branch now.

From what I've heard about him is that he really loves Ohio State so it will definitely be a challenge to keep him if they offer.

Good luck on Robinson. The only way you'll get Robinson is if Mullen decides to hire Samsel to an assistant position, which I guess is possible. Otherwise, Samsel will be steering him to Bama.

QB and WR. Mullen is so much better at hands on teaching that anyone we have had here since Bob Tyler. Sherrill coached from the tower and we know walrus coached from the Golf Cart. I just think our players need coached up and Mullen has the drive and energy to do it. Not to mention he learned from the best college coach in America Urban Myer.
