Football Starts Before Basketball Is Over will players jump to Football

Basketball first contest January 4th
Basketball has 14 games with the last game on February 19th.
So if the playoffs start after the 19th and Football first contest starts February 26.
So my question will kids that play Football & Basketball will they stay with basketball
or go on to play football or will there be a basketball playoff for the state championship.

I wondered about that. I imagine it will be about like basketball when football came first...kids will finish their season then join the other sport late. Bigger question is whether some kids will skip basketball now. Hayesville football coach is also the Girls basketball coach, so there’s another interesting issue
