Has anyone on the football season ticket waiting list heard anything yet? I'm on the list to get two additional tickets. Just curious if anyone has had their "waiting list" request filled yet.

Only thing I've heard is that I didn't have to "reapply" to the waiting list just because it's a new season.

I too am waiting for an additional ticket. As long as we are decent and approach 7 wins a year, people are going to buy tickets. This is a great time to be a Bulldog and watch the progression of our Athletics as we take a step to another level. Hopefully when my kids grow up they can be ticket holders too and we can talk about a couple of SEC championship runs and maybe a NC.

Many of ushave previously discussed the merits ofbuilding under orabove current demand, but those currently on the season ticket waiting list have a unique perspective on this issue. They want season tickets (or more season tickets), and are not yet able to get them. Others who couldn't get season tickets for the Hump for those few years might also have the same feelings regarding this.

Within the 6,000 seat expansion will be a few skyboxes, thousand(s) of club level seats, and probablyadditional student seating. So it's possible that those currently on the waiting list could STILL be on the waiting list after the expansion. And of course, if/when demand increases, there will bea lot of new names on the waiting list.

So to those currently on the waiting list--are 6,000 seats enough?

Without knowing the exact number (seems like last I heard was less than 1,000... don't know if that means names or seats) Ifeel like6,000 is enough. Just assuming there are 1,000 people waiting and they all want 4 tickets, that's 4,000 seats (verycrude estimate). I personally don't mind waiting because the two extra tickets I need will be for mykidswho I don't plan on regulary taking for a few more years. What's more important for me is that I'm eventually able to get all 4 together in a group.

I think a waiting list is good and right now it's still easy to find tickets if you're not a season ticket holder. I know people who regularly give away tickets, and the upper deck rarely appears to be what I would consider full. We still run specials and have family packages to sell all our tickets. I'd rather us have 60,000 fans in a stadium that seat 61,000 than have 62,000 in a stadium built to hold 70,000.

One thing I think we've got to be careful about is to still provide low cost options. I have a lot of friends who don't buy season tickets simply because of the cost. Buying tickets combined with traveling to the games can add up to alot of money for a family of 4 or 5. I guess it depends on our marketing strategy --- do we want to fill as many seats as possible, or do we want to havea slightlysmaller but probably more loyal & diehard crowd?

They actually called me around the last week of June last year & I got season tickets. We actually heard that when the expansion gets built that they are going to redo the Bulldog Club seating arrangement at the end of the 2013 season. Scott Stricklin said that in last August's Bulldog Club meeting.
