I remember very little talk about it...the 2 names were Cotton or Patterson.

Was that just an encouraged rumor?

He had an injury about half-way through his season but still had playstation-esque numbers. We had recruited him last summer so we just stayed in contact. Hopefully he can recover, but doesn't cost us anything if he doesn't.

Paul Jones said all signs point to the kicker from Oak Grove walking on... Didn't have any major offers but in terms of walk-ons Paul labeled it as a "home run". Won't beat out Devon Bell but has to be better than Brian Egan who I viewed as a major disappointment this year in terms of a back-up kicker for whatever that's worth.

but I would love to have Patterson and Cotton walk onthis spring. However, the serious ones that I have heard are Mordecai, the kicker/punter from Jackson Academy, the kicker from Oak Grove and the long snapper/TE Hunter Bradley. Additonally, Dennis Thames says he will be back this fall. I would guess that he would be a walk-on.

we still need a guy that when we get into FG position we can have some confidence that he will put it through the uprights and right now I don't have a clue who that will end up being. Many games are won and lost on missed or made FGs so while its great to have a guy that can put it in the end zone on kickoffs we still have a huge need for an accurate FG kicker.

when asked was he a kicker or punter? Mullen: "Yes!", when he kicks the ball if flies off his foot and it goes
