Each week is a battle, you see it across the country. I wanted to see a better showing today but a win is a win. I have concerns over the next games but everyone is beatable each week. Please don't give up on our kids. They gave a lot to be proud of and I guarantee WI and tOSU won't be taking them lightly. We may lose some games but I really like this new direction in coaching, recruiting, etc. It just seems like a real different feel for the long term success of our program that we haven't seen in a long time--regardless of this year's final result. Be proud Husker fans!! We're on the right track.

Shhhhhh. You have to blow everyone out! Ohio State is terrible because they are only up 3 on Pedo State!

Your shtick is as tired as a Foghat concert. This was Purdue...a team that fired their coach for being horrible. A team that we had threads asking "should we sit all the starters so they can get healed up?"

This was a 24 point dog that stopped the run even though they had not stopped the run all year.

This was a 35 year old WR coach that basically outcoached the Husker staff for 75% of the game.

Depends on what you are wanting out of your team. If it NC contention, you win big because its hard for a team to go undefeated anymore. Therefore you have to give the voters (most of whom only look at the score and not watch the game) something to make them believe you are that good and deserving of a top rating. Me personally, I would be happy with 10 wins and a competitive B1G cg performance this year. So big wins arent all that important. But if you want to be in the playoff picture, win big.

My schtick is tired? I guess the expert would know. Stick to getting wasted and waiting for the next loss.

I'm as rabid as the next guy, went to home games in the good ole days, but to me this looks like something developing I can't remember seeing in awhile... Again, regardless of this season's outcome, quit being a bunch of overreacting chumps!! Enjoy the ride!! We're rolling forward to the big show!!

I am not greenhorn by any estimation, and we, Nebraska, did not look good.

I have earned my baldness, and greyness gracefully, and certainly am not a greenhorn.

About 30 years ago I went to a Foghat concert in Chicago. Bob Seger was backing them up. Bob kicked butt.

This is the other side of your opinions. Did you miss the post on OSU only being up" in time", over PSU by 3? Mean anything beyond some symbols on paper to you? Would you agree one of the fun things about CFB; is the spirit that creates upsets and great efforts? I read a post from you today, where you were risking joint injury patting yourself on the back - saying you expected this great success. So its all W's; thats what gets remembered imo.... If we got out-coached 75% of the game; how dominant was Purdue in the second half; did they change the game to more than 4 quarters? So who has the " shtick " , as you call it in jumping another poster ?

Like multiple personalities? They are quite a bit on the opposite spectrums on most things.

The 3rd personality is a Cuban national female.

See, I don't think they are on opposite sides...AND they both seemed to show up at the same time...:)

Ha!

No, I am just me.

To the guy that was crying a bit...Yes, I expected them to be 7-0. They have been favored in every game so far. They have been the better team in every game so far.

Didn't watch the game, but why were they horrible? Was it something we did differently? One thing we've done well all season is make adjustments. I hope you aren't suggesting that the reason we won is because Purdue played horrible in the second half.

Foghat's "Third Time Lucky" is a better song for this season. First heard it on K-Tel's "Heart of Rock" collection. If it wasn't for K-Tel I would not have been exposed to anything other than AM radio playing Country/Western and farm reports.

Even though we have been the better team each week, it seems that each team we play has a pretty good scheme and we are able to make adjustments throughout the game to neutralize their game plan. The worrisome part of the next two games is that Wisconsin will be just as strong as we are in the forth quarter, and Ohio State will try to make a statement and drop sixty points on us.
