For instance, Chad Pennington has the highest completion percentage in the history of the NFL. And Chad Pennington is an average AT BEST NFL quarterback. In fact, Miami's offense has gotten better with a second year, first-time starter in the last two games they played going into their bye week. The reason, Chad Henne completes more difficult passes than Chad Pennington. So while he doesn't complete them at the same high percentage, the ones he does complete carry more weight.
The same thing can apply to Tyson Lee versus say Taite, Madkin, etc. His completion percentage doesn't make him a better QB than them because they could make throws that count for a lot more.

but please don't let completion percentage fool you. 95% of our passes are at or within 8 yards of the line of scrimmage, so you would expect anyone to have a good completion percentage. This should be credited to Mullen, as he has this offense moving better than we have ever seen.

not saying he's better than Taite, Madkin, etc...... I'm saying he's better than our other options. The other guys won games. I dont care if you're 2 for 14 in the game if you win it. But he does give us the best chance to win

And, this is just me speaking, but I could give a damn about completion percentage. I want to win ball games, individual stats be damned.

Regardless of what stats show, I held my breath every time Taite dropped back to pass. Taite was similar to Dixon in a way - in that they main reason his stats are so high is because he was a 4 year starter. Not that any other Taite-Dixon comparison would be valid, as Dixon has developed into a good football player.

My four year old and I will sometimes throw a ball in our den from the couch to the chair, a distance of about 6 feet i guess, and count each time we throw it without dropping it. We have gotten to 100 before and it's boring, we could get to 200 or 300 if we really tried hard.

I don't care what you say or who you are! I'd almost say the Henig > Taite but I won't go that far.

if Mullen can help Lee put up the numbers that he's been putting up, I look forward to the day that Dan has a serious playmaker at QB for State

Well you are kind of right, he's not horrible at fumbling the ball and throwing interceptions. Unfortunately those are not good things to be good at.
