As I have said many, many times on this board, the Dems have moved very, very far left. That speech was from just 20 years ago. Clinton couldn't run as a Dem today after a speech like that.
Their next big move is economically, The Dems, Imo, will soon essentially be the socialist party in America. Look at the polls on this issue, it's coming.

Oh, bill would run as a dem today because he went with what would get him nominated. He only switched when he lost congress and wanted to win relection.
I don't see globalism as a left/right issue. It infects both sides of the aisle.
I'm not talking specifically about globalism. I am speaking about far left positions today. Open borders or near open borders
Open borders is both sides of the aisle. It's a populist vs. big business item, not left/right.
I disagree. Securing the border has been an issue of the right for a long, long time. There is no question that some on the right, like the Chamber of Commerce, support open borders because they want the very cheap labor. Some big businesses as well for the same reason. But for the rank and file conservatives, security the border has always been very, very popular. It is not a populist issue, imo.
Actions, not words. Republicans were all to helpful to Obama to get TPP passed. No matter that they say, their actions compromise them.
I agree on TPP. But you point was about the border.
Its all the same. If anyone but Cruz had been elected we would've continued down the same path.
