Did you catch the fair catch interference flag on Jax that got picked up a few minutes ago? The official said that it was picked up because the receiver waited too late to call the fair catch. Be that as it may, since when did it become legal to bump into a guy a clear 2 seconds before the ball arrives?

The defender pretty clearly had no time to alter his position. If you're upset about that call, I've got a pretty clear idea why, and it has nothing to do with the integrity of the officiating.

I don't have any issue with the fact that he hit him. I have issue with the fact that he hit him before the ball ever got to him. Whether it was a legal fair catch or not, you cannot bump a player before he has a chance to catch the ball.

You can't hit the guy before he catches it whether he signaled a fair catch or not. It should have been a flag for catch interference but since they did not throw a flag for that they could only pick up the flag.

At least, those are my thoughts which are based on no known facts much like most message board posts.
