3A Big 8 Conference along with Orange, Chapel Hill, Northwood, Southern Durham, etc. I hope the new coach can put more than 25 on the field next season. They have been way down the last few years and with the way Orange has been putting over 100 on the field August 1st it could be a tough to win the county.

When Johnson and Moser used to meet in Alamance County the tickets were presold and 'standing room only' was the norm. Cummings had one of the greatest runs in NC football history and they would play anybody anywhere. You '''never bet''' against Cummings and the game was never over. Moser and his staff were trained against Johnson at Cummings, Kirby at Eastern, Story at Williams and Capps at Western. Its not every day a school hires a hall of fame caliber coach. putting 100 players on the field is awesome.......but you can only play 11 at a time.......saw a Steve Johnson coached team win a 3A state title in Chapel Hill with 19 players getting on the bus and headed back to Burlington with the title......of course this team had a plenty of great players and this does not happen often but I see it with my own eyes......it will be great to see what they come up with

Probably a good move for Coach Johnson to get out of the black hole which is h.s. football in Raleigh...more of a small town feel for him and his staff at C.R. I would imagine....A few yrs ago Dave...Cedar Ridge was a 2A school..now 3A in a pretty tough conference..Hope you enjoy retirement...lol.....

The fact he doesn't have to RECRUIT his own players, is the biggest plus!!! Enloe could be good if half the kids that suppose to come there come and not go to Magnet programs.
