Would a Saturday doubleheader interfere with the football scrimmage? If so why not play Sunday?

The map is today's forecast...

..I am saying you can't play a baseball game tonight with this mess looming on the horizon. The front should be clear by tomorrow, which means Friday night game is a go with tonight's game moved to Saturday. Of course, they might try to play tonight anyway. If so, good luck on your 2 hour drive back to Jackson in an unrelenting rain storm.

They will get tonight's game in. The front is moving very slow. It's not forecasted to make it to memphis until after 4.

Someone said earlier this week that it's an SEC rule - whatever day you start - you have 3 days to play the series. So you have to be done by Saturday.

I don't think any of the games will be impacted. The weather will come in just after tonight's game ends and be gone in time for Friday's game. Might have to finish up tonight's game before Friday's starts, but Saturday should be a single game either way.

they ought to just postpone it............

because you're right. We may get it in and then put everybody on the road when all hell breaks loose. We're not talking just rain either. Wind, tornado threat, all that ****.

They've moved the forcast for jackson up several hours already today stating it has sped up. Still looks like there will be time to get the game in but I wouldn't want to be driving back to Jackson afterwards.

Tornado watch for Starkville until 11 p.m. Not sure if they'd delay the game for a watch or not.
