There were some surprises in the NOVA pick 'em football games last weekend, which led me to wonder which game was the biggest upset.

Correction: West Potomac 34, CD Hylton 33

Although the HSHS-OSHS game wasn't an upset, it was almost one. The close outcome of the game surprised some fans who were expecting HSHS to win by a larger margin. Since this is the second week of the season, the polls doesn't give an accurate picture of how good the teams are.

The accurate picture is .... I expect to see both of those teams playing in the state finals! It could have been worse,and probably should have been worse,but I’m glad it wasn’t. It put the young players on both sides to the test.
