Vick must go for over 100, and Relf needs over 50 rushing. Also, more than one turnover and we are doomed.

Make UF start from inside their 35. UF leads the SEC in KR. If UF returns KO's for TDs and/or gets field position like LSU did against us, nothing else will matter. Nothing.

Don't turn the ball over.

Run Relf and Ballard effectively.

Complete a few passes over 20 yards.

Contain Brantley.

I could play the part of the "Sports Expert" and say Score more points, but that sounds too much like the real me.

Would love to see us shut them down and run the ball and then run it some more. If we dominate O minutes, we'll do fine.

the team needs to watch rudy on the plane thursday

for real the team has to believe it is going to win or when they face adversity like LSU and Auburn, the will fail...

and say we have to be in the positive when it comes to turnover margin in this game. Simply protecting the football won't cut it. Gotta have some takeaways.

score early and take the crowd out of the game. Frustrate them on D and turn the home corwd into a non factor.

Run the ball effectively, and control the clock.

I don't know how they won't start at midfield after kickoffs. If we can fix that and protect the ball the whole game, we will win. We also can't crap our pants like we did at Tiger Stadium. Hopefully we learned from that game.

We don't have a chance but here are some things that have to be in the mix in order to win:

Offense
Zero Turnovers
No dropped balls by receivers
100% Red Zone Scoring
Convert 3rd downs
No missed Field Goals or extra points
We score at the end of the half andon first series of the second half.

Defense
Pick 6, int's or fumbles that lead to points
Abnormal high number of TFL, hurries or sacks.
No missed tackles
Can't give up the deep play. UF is focusing on this one this week.

consume the clock, pressure Brantley and hold the running game to 150 yds or less, and play perfect on special teams.

other guy: "What are the keys to victory for State?"

Leach: "State needs to move the ball up and down the field while keeping the ball out of Houston's hands"

other guy: "Ok, do you think they will do that primarily on the ground?"

Leach: "Umm...yes."

....if we can establish the run with Ballard/Relf and finish off drives, we have a great shot. Our think our defense matches up well with Florida's offense.

eliminate big plays for their offense- make them have long drives

run, run, run and run some more- and then hit a couple of big plays in the passing game

win the turnover battle

turnovers. Pouncy has gotten better over the last few games, but if we can get pressure I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a few bad snaps.

We need to control the clock, eliminate turnovers, be opportunistic on defense, and play on their side of the field. Of course you could say that about every game.

Ballard needs to run for at least 100 yards and Relf needs to rush for at least 75. Of course no turnovers. I think Bumphis needs to come up big for us and make some plays, and we're going to have to have a random ******* step up and make some plays for us.

Our o-line, yeah they need to win the LOS a good bit of the time at least.

We have to control the clock and win the battle of time of possession and try to shorten the game.

Defensively, we need to come up with at least one more turnover than Florida and we need to put pressure on Brantley. We need to tackle better- especially on screens.

Special teams- we have to play solid and not allow any big plays for them.

If we can get some pressure on Brantley he will make some ill-advised throws. Our DL has been disappointing thus far-- I hope they can get it together.

We have to have 3rd down stops. Our defense has to play their best game of the year if we want to win. I feel like we will be able to put up some points on them.

P.S. I just noticed my new title. ??

To win, I think we will have to win the turnover battle by at least 2.

We need Ballard to be huge. He's clearly our best RB, and we clearly need to run the ball.
