Here's the problem with that

2022

Doege?
Greene
Crowder
Marcholi

Brown is gone
Mathis
Johnson no real experience for either

WR most you would figure will be back

O Line better be good, no youth excuse here

But, Defense will be a rebuild, what if Doge doesn't come back, who is your QB? Marcholi just to groom but unless he's a Freshman All American, how many wins? Wouldn't 2023 be a rebuild year anyways?

2023

Possibly untested QB, or So Marcholi with

Running Back who knows

WR new guys

O line, rebuild

Defense, who knows

Where exactly is your point of Growth and Climb by 2023? Do you expect he wins 8-9 games next season with Doege or one of 3 other QBs, No Leddie, and a rebuilt Defense?

How does that set the program up for a jump in 2023?

Marcholi? Maybe if he pans out but the Offensive Line will be basically another rebuild in his second year

Where is your Depth and Experience for 2023?

The offense at the very least needs an overhaul and new direction. O line coach needs to go. Need a new Strength Coach because WVU hasn't be the more physical team in years.

You gonna be able to keep the entire Defensive Staff together over this Journey also? You better hope. You ok if WVU is probably looking at 3-5 more years to compete for a Big12 Championship?

if he is here ten years from now...folks will be saying give him more time
The fan boys will always have an excuse. Just like they tried to excuse the Lyons idiotic extension by saying that “we have to pay extensions for coaches if we want to be a big boy program”.

It's normal for every school to give the coach a contract that goes for 4 more years. Otherwise athletes won't come to a school where the coach who recruits them might be gone in a year. The buyout doesn't bother the schools that much either. Only the fans.

The fact that an absolute corn cob jackass wannabe nurse liked your post tells me everything I need to know

Again, let the numbers do the talking. Neal Brown had the worst 3-season start for a WVU coach in 50 years. Don't give me excuses about that. The head coach is the CEO and responsible for the blame and the credit for everything that happens to the team. I hope to God Neal can do better than .500 football for a change in 2022 but W-L will speak for me. No more excuses. WAY past time to perform! For my alma mater's sake I hope that WVU wins at least 8 times in 2022. 12-0 is greedy and unrealistic. But in his 4th season at a school EVERY coach should be having an excellent season or it's time to try a new flavor!

Sounds like you're mad at others for wanting WVU to win more games and are upset that they believe the current coaching staff is holding back the WVU Mountaineers from being the best the Old Gold and Blue can be. That's a weird position to take. Do you like WVU's record over the last three years? Seems like you do. Seems like a lot of you do. You're certainly quick to defend the man in charge of a program who's led a downward trajectory.

I embrace and endorse any coach who has winning seasons for my alma mater. That's why I LOVE Bob Huggins, best basketball coach at WVU (Fred Schaus a very close 2nd, in my opinion). And why I am not thrilled with Neal Brown having the worst 3-season start at WVU in FIFTY YEARS. Is that unreasonable?

If Nicco has a big freshman year and we win 8 games and then he enters the portal this board would be more unreadable than when Rod left.

Hey stupid. The AD has given him 2 more years. Shut your pie hole and wait.
