I'll also throw in NBA Jam, even though it was an SNES title. Bill Clinton was bad *** on that game.

Wasn't that the first game ever where you could get injured?

John Madden '92 is up there on my list also

It was the first one I remember where you could build your team up, trade players, etc.

I think he had a sweet drop kick too. Watching that video seemed to remind me that you hit the direction button twice to make him run.

Double Dribble was awesome, and we played RBI Baseball even in college. Fights almost started over it.

we got a Pong for Christmas. I, my brothers, and my cousins all had a huge double-elimination Pong tournament. It was great.

By the way, running the spread, i beat LSU with MSU in BR on my new Wii. Welsey Carroll played a hell of a game and I held LSU to one first-down all game long. Looks like EA sports may need to work on their simulation a bit more.

I have also had to explain to my parents why I punched a hole in the wall over a "meaningless" (their words, not mine) video game.
Parents & wives just don't get it. You can always tell when I've had a serious gaming weekend - I've got a swollen right hand. And did anyone else bite the NES remotes? We had the black plastic covering chewed off the corners of ours. I always assumed it was one of those things everyone did - you know, like blowing on the games to get them to work.

As for my fav games, in no particular order:

Baseball Stars
Bases Loaded series
Double Dribble
Pro Wresting - Amazon chewing on heads was awesome

Maybe not. But still badass. Nothing like pulling out the uppercut and jacking some dudes up.

Damn, this thread brings back memories.

series is probably the most successful of all time. Mario, Luigi, Princess, Warrio and the little toad. Everyone played those games. Tecmo Bowl with L.T. on the Giants and Bo Jackson on the Raiders, there where four plays, two running and two passing, sounds like Crooms offense haha!!!</p>
