Those are the top ten threads on the board, and only three are related to basketball, one of which was started by an MSU fan, and one of which didn't have a response from an Ole Miss fan after halftime. So it's safe to say that basketball discussion is at a minimum over there. We're very fair-weather about our basketball as a fanbase, always have been, always will be.
If I need an enema, I can self-inflict it...just about the same level of pain.
Never been to nafoom; don't plan on going there.

Tonight as I was leaving the game, I had the typical old man Rebel douchebag approach me to tell me what a good game it was. I agreed with him. And as he is walking off he feels the need to turn and tell me, "Good Job Beating our 2nd Team." I just smiled and nodded...
why there was over 9,000 there to watch an 18-12 SEC team play his school's "second team"? I can assure you, he would have had nothing to come back with.
9030 were there (actual). It was supposed to be the 15th or so largest crowd in Tad Smith history today. I believe that Kellum made the comment. Maybe you need to clear that up with your ticket office or David himself? Kind of odd that this old son of a ***** would make that comment about us beating the "second team", yet they came out in droves to watch the game.

Yes, it can hold over 9000. When they added floor seats, and when they changed the seats from the old wooden ones to the new padded ones, the capacity increased to over 9000.
As for the team, we're a lot like MSU. We're young, which is why we've both lost a lot of head scratchers at home, and which is probably why we pulled the rare road-road split. It's also why we're both NIT bound and not NCAA bound.

No, we aren't better than you in basketball. Our program clearly isn't better than yours. You clearly have the better fanbase, coaching, facilities and expectations.
Your basketball program is better than ours. I don't think that's an argument. It's not significantly better, but it's better. That doesn't mean we aren't both NIT bound this year. I guess one of us could pull off the miracle run like UGA did last year, but I'd say that's a long shot.

I'm a shameless bandwagon basketball fan. If we're good, I'll go to games and scream as loud as anybody. If we're not, no big deal.
The outcome of a basketball has never affected my mood, unlike football or baseball where I just watch Sportscenter afterwards hoping every other team in the country lost.
