quit fighting the Masoli thing. It's clearly a "win at any cost" move by you guys. Just own up to it. Hell, I even agree with you. I wish we had signed the thieving mf'er. Just own up to it and move on.

You are going to catch **** for all the holier than thou **** you guys pulled about "Jackie and his Thugs" for years. Just accept it and say "+@+! yeah we did it- and just wait till ya'lls *** come to Oxford" and be done with it. Just like when we get on your *** for the Egg Bowl- stop with the "Well what bowl were you guys in?" crap...just accept you got your *** whipped and move on. You are going to catch **** about it until you beat us again. Whenever that day may come. It doesn't f*cking matter what bowl you went to, we beat your f*cking Cotton Bowl *** like a red-headed step-child in the Egg Bowl.

We had two scholarship QB's, one was juco transfer. But then you guys have to own up to being hypocritical about Newton and a hundred other guys.

You can't have it both ways.

That's the problem, you guys are too %%#+%%! stupid to understand. We KNOW we would have taken him, we KNOW we have taken questionable guys in the past, and hell yes we would have taken Cam Newton (although it's really not a good comparison). The problem is you pricks spent years acting like you would never run a dirty program with loose morals and look at what you got now. Coach is right, just take it because you pricks deserve it. Always making excuses and running from the truth....

Newton and Masoli are not even in the same stratosphere.......Masoli = habitual criminal that skipped town like a ***** without sitting out a season like Kelly wanted him to do.....Newton = one time offender that paid his dues and went to Blinn CC.....then resigned with a division 1 school.

I swear, I can't understand how the <17> Nutt can kick Patterson off the team and turn around andtake Masoli.....Nutt is as cheap as a three toothed hooker.

Explain it away, all you want. But it's exactly the same thing.

I don't think he was...I don't think the two are on the same level, but Newton was a little shady no doubt. Just take your medicine- hell, we'll be after a convict to come to Starkville within 18 months and it will be our turn to get **** about it. I just can't stand the fact you guys are great at dishing it out, but awful at taking when it's your turn

I won't say he's a saint. But he's far from Charles Manson. And he seems to be taking his "last chance" seriously.

My original point was, every school in our position would have done the same thing, including State. The "holier than thou" tone so many of you are taking is laughable.

Let's call it even...you are correct, but so am I.

Newton had one incident with the law, possession of a stolen laptop. Masoli has three, one of which involves beating someone while robbing him. There's a reason many schools were trying to sign Newton and only one tried to sign Masoli, and it's not because anybody's being hypocritical. If we hadn't flat turned Masoli down cold, he'd have been in Starkville in June.

1. I have no doubts he is taking it seriously. He would have to be Lawrence Phillips stupid not to

2. You will continue to get **** from State fans- you guys started it with Billy Brewer talking about Sherrill being a "habitual liar and cheater" and then Brewer gets fired because he got you guys on probation again- and a pretty severe one. Too many of you guys in red and blue live in glass houses.

You know sometimes you actually make sense and have great observations. Now if you will just stop with the likes of "Jawga" and "Favruh"...those things weren't funny the first 300 times you used them. Regardless, my point stands that you are correct about UM fans and their glass houses. I was reminded of this today when I saw a typical Ole Miss t-shirt that read, "Ole Miss...We aren't snobs...we are just better than you." And that one shirt sums up an entire fanbase of ******** and their entire racist, biggoted, obnoxious, over-valued, self-absorbed, 17-ing history.</p>

But if you want to discern between Newton and Masoli, you have to discern between Nutt and Sherrill.

Sherrill was Pete Carroll before there was a Pete Carroll. Every program he was ever at came under huge sanctions just after he left/"retired." Nutt, while I'm sure is not lily-white, has never even come close to having the same reputation as Jackie Sherrill.

College football is a business. In more ways than one. Nutt needed a QB badly, one was available, and he accepted him onto the team with very clear restrictions. He broke no rules, and complied with every NCAA requirement. Most of you (not you) are being ungodly hypocritical about the whole thing. That was my point.

If he screws up and rapes someone tomorrow, well, he and Nutt will both take the fall. But we already know that. The people implying that State only has Catholic altar boys playing for them, or that they have never taken a flyer on a questionable kid is simply ridiculous.

As said above, it is, what it is. State can talk ****. But don't throw out the holier than thou attitude without being called out on it.

Just say it... not like "well... he's no saint.. but he's not as bad as that guy".... He's a criminal... they're all the same in my book.

I haven't seen a single State poster take a holier than thou approach.

were catholic altar boys... I'm sure C34 said we understand we had some sketchy players. We accept that. You have done a good job in providing an example for C34's original post.

but lets not act like evry school with the need of a QB would have taken him. Didnt it come down to La Tech, UNLV, and Ole Miss? Do you really mean to tell me he chose those over every other school in the country, or were those the main three that wanted to take a chance with him. I doubt those were the only three schools in need of a QB

nothing! Masoli has QB'd a team to the PAC10 Championship and the Rose Bowl. And that is why he has garnered all the attention. Trust me, if Newton had accomplished half as much the spot light would be so hot, his *** would be frying.

get the Jets or Patriots on NCAA probation? Didn't think so.

Heck, I wish Sherrill was like Pete Carroll in that Carroll hired Norm Chow as his OC, which is what I wanted to do in 1996 along with Joe Lee Dunn. Instead I got Lynn Amedee. At least I got Joe Lee, though.

It's a risk/reward thing. Nutt will win with said "questionable" players. MSU signed same type of players but still **** the bed.

There is no comparison between Masoli and Newton. Newton was convicted of a felony and all of Masoli's charges were misdemeanors. Big Difference. Another thing I have never seen so many MSU fans as the ones who post here where they never possessed nor smoked weed. Some here could be called hypocrites for hammering Masoli for his pot possession..

1998, 1999, and 2000 disagree with you. Those teams had a Parchman-bound player or 2 on it
