I think it’s because they went to quick service concessions. Fountain drinks and cups and ice slow it down too much. It’s never been a big deal to me. I always want a bottle drink. Why was the decision made to make cups and ice only available to those who pay for the club area. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. I pay for season tickets, but am not allowed to have a plastic cup and ice - complete b.s.
I think the idea is a full bottle with cap on is a lot easier to throw and hurt someone. Cap off and most of the liquid just comes out in the air or on impactSpeaking of bottled drinks, when you buy a bottle of coke in the SuperDome in NOLA, they make you take the cap off the bottle and put it in a bucket there at the register.
WTH?
I generally sip on a bottled soda throughout the game.
I guess a damn Saints fan sued because somebody threw a bottle cap? Or slipped on one that had been dropped on the floor?
Maybe. They couldn't tell me why the cap had to come off.I think the idea is a full bottle with cap on is a lot easier to throw and hurt someone. Cap off and most of the liquid just comes out in the air or on impact
I think so. Same thing when I went to the UMass game in Foxboro. I was slightly annoyed but no big deal.I think the idea is a full bottle with cap on is a lot easier to throw and hurt someone. Cap off and most of the liquid just comes out in the air or on impact
Same thing happened to me at a game once. The person behind the counter said they have to take the caps because someone could throw a full bottle with the cap on and it could hurt someone.I think so. Same thing when I went to the UMass game in Foxboro. I was slightly annoyed but no big deal.
Then buy drink, put the cap on, throw said drink, and watch a congressional investigation ensue over how on God’s green earth this possibly could have happened.Bring a bottle cap in your pocket from home with you to the game. Problem solved.
