We'll know in about two weeks.

Looks like we were a bit late getting started, testing has been lower and slower than it should have been, and anecdotally, people aren't taking it seriously and staying home.

So my guess is not well.

I think this is another problem with the media not being believable to most people. When you’re used to seeing hot take after hot take and BOMBSHELL every other second and it all ends up pointless nonsense, people aren’t going to respond.

Hell the last 3 years we’ve had other viruses and the the BOMBSHELL ALERT EBOLA crisis. I don’t think it’s as much fault of regular people as much as the media in general.

I'm in the camp that doesn't want to know anything / details of data or symptoms or I'll think I have it. I haven't seen a single datum.

Any situation where you could see all of next season canceled as well?
Nah. I think this is being used to create panic. How serious is the virus, who knows. ?!
Cooler heads bring calm, agenda heads create panic.

I always figured the ice age, acid rain, ozone hole, Ebola, Bird Flu, H1N1, Taliban, super hurricanes, ISIS, North Korea or rising seas levels would have taken us out by now.

Yep. That's a huge problem. Cause then when something major hits that justifies the media frenzy, then no one will believe it.

The Spanish Flu of 1918 came in three deadly waves: spring, fall, and winter of 1918. I have no idea whether the coronavirus could also come in waves or whether, if it did, health officials would be better prepared against future waves.

we have much better technology and health care standards now than then for sure.

Doesn’t mean we take it lightly but we have a much better fighting chance than those poor souls did.

Just reading the tea leaves I think we are in for a rough few months.

Again, this doesn't even feel real.

We litterally did nothing today. ****** weather, no basketball, schools canceled, kids sports canceled, stores over flowing with mass quantity product buyers.

The good news is a tied my pop a shot record in basement, I work from home and I don't think I have CV.

Will there be sports next season? No freaking clue. I could have woken up with my head sewn to the carpet and wouldn't have been more surprised than I am over what has happen in the past 7 days. WTF is going on?

I agree.

I also think, and not being political even though it's about politics, our rush to make everything political has almost divided this issue into two camps as well.

That's dangerous and stupid. Hoping it goes badly to criticize Trump and downplaying it or spreading false information to protect him should both get you launched into the sun so the rest of us can survive.

People, media, internet--I'm afraid we're going to see us become victims of our own stupidity and stubbornness.

I already did that. Woke up with a sniffle yesterday and freaked out. Turns out you can have a runny nose this time of year...

I also have convinced myself that everyone has it when I am at the store and it has apparently turned into AIDS circa 1988 in my mind. Fortunately my wife is sane...

We have land in the middle of nowhere. It may be a good idea with kids out of school and my work flexibility to take a hiatus for a while. This stuff is overwhelming.

I've convinced myself and 4 friends that our colds last week could have been corona and joking aside the cough was extremely weird and I said at the time I'm "sick but not really". Pretty strange man, I know how it sounds but it really was a confusing sort of cold. To consciously think "my cold is weird" before I knew about corona is wild.

We've got land too and I think we're about to do the same. At least for a while.

I know exactly what you mean. Seriously. It is total mind manipulation.
