that wasn't an official picture, rather one done by someone not associated with the project. The picture I am posting is actually the one that was shown to us at an M-Club function prior to a bbgame a few weeks ago. They wouldn't allow us to take any copies as they were all in portfolios, but someone snapped a pic. Enjoy! It will look AWESOME!!!

The final product will look nothing like this. This was just an initial proposal by some random firm - it is not the master plan being put together by populous/hok. I have been told that the proposal populous is going forward with basically smashes this design to pieces, which it should - they will be incorporating a lot of brick and using design elements from historical buildings around campus.

Thay would be even better. I have liked all the concepts I have seen though, but something that actually incorperates historical aspects would be neat

So they're going to use actual brick from Old Main? A mini Chapel of Memories on the upper deck? A visual of the SAE house carved on a wall?

I know it's just a picture but it indicates the east and west upper decks would be identical or at least very similar. Could that even be done without tearing the upper deck down? Perfect stadium for me would be to have similar east/west stands, bowling the end zone ( don't really care about how many people at this time, just something permanent that could be expanded), and cleaning up the outside, bricks and what not.

Kind of like Auburn did. Just take the east and west lower level and bowl it in. Place a row of boxes on top that mirror the ones on the east side. This could be done at the same time as a complete stadium renovation (concessions, restrooms, club). Since we are adding so many seats, why not change a few 50 yard line bleacher sections into chairbacks.

It seems like keeping it simple would cost less. I don't get why all these renderings look like they use Hunter Henry's book of Design Elements. We could keep it simple and still have a very nice addition and use that extra money to renovate what's already there.
