An up-and-coming coach from a lower division, who has a proven track record as a head coach. No more retreads. No more assistants with zero head coaching experience.

& I agree no more re-treads (might take Tubs) & definitely no assistants (although it works out sometimes).</p>

and he's rebuilding it from an option talented team to a Air raid team. Know what he did last year? Ran a lot of option.

He didn't try to run the Air Raid with players that couldn't do it. He will do what it takes.

I was at a coaching clinic where he spoke one time. A bunch of other SEC,ACC, Big 10 and 12 coaches were outside schmoozing the HS coaches. When Hatcher spoke most of them came in and sat down to listen to him talk about Coaching the QB and his offense. They didn't quit glad handling to go in and listen to anyone else.

Must be something to him.

Also Chuck Martin at Grand Valley State is one we ought to look at.

Hasn't Martin won a couple of national titles at GVS?

That would be a huge step up for us, and he knows how to rebuild. I think he would wait around for a better offer, however.

i really like this hire and was big on getting him here when he was at valdosta state.....looking at the scores, it looks like he's having the same trouble fedora is having, not much defense.....with that said, i'd still be very excited to hire him for next season.....one more thing, qb's would love to play in his offense.
