For those who went to the GT game in Atlanta last year.

Do you recall the way the GT announcer would give the score?
Georgia Tech 7 , Mississippi State "NOTHING!!!!!!"
Georgia Tech 14, Mississippi State "NOTHING!!!!!!"

It got so bad that the state fans started screaming "NOTHING" following every Georgia Tech score. Thanks Croom!

I hope like hell we can repay the favor this year. Sure would be nice to put up a few TD's without them scoring and have our announcer scream "NOTHING" for their score.</p>

I do remember Croom trying to call a TO with no time left in the third quarter. I could see the official trying not to laugh at him.

Oh, and JC Brignone defying the laws of physics by snapping a ball straight up.

me kept chanting SEC, SEC, SEC. One of them had teeth that matched the GT yellow. I don't think it was on purpose though. I wanted to punch him.

I do remember that--pretty retarded. JC's play was just MSU football. However, the series that took the cake was having AD pulled down near the goal-line after a 70 yard run.... Of course, we have to kick a field goal. The holder lines up 5 YARDS behind the center and we get stuffed. I just remember the whole MSU section looking at each other like an incoming bomb strike scene from Band of Brothers.

That was when I first realized that our head coach did not even know the clock rules of college football.

I was sitting near a lot of GT fans, and after the score was really out of hand, they were really quiet... so i asked them why they were not talking trash because we obviously deserved it. This old guy with a GT hat on replied, "It kinda feels like we are picking a fight with a retarded kid, and that just ain't right." You know your program is at rock bottom when people refuse to talk trash while winning. The state fans I was with made fun of State more than GT fans did. It actually was pretty funny in the 3rd quarter.

yes, I admit, I tried really damn hard to stay a Croom supporter, and believer. Being there in person, watching us take that beating, was just miserable.

The only good thing I took from that game was that Tech. has some really gay and nerdy traditions. ..the nerdiness of their school has definitely worked its way in their gameday atmosphere. The ramblin wreck car, the giant whistle that blows after a score, the song they play where everyone bobs up and down ... ghey. Made me laugh at them a couple times.

In the third quota, when the outcome was a foregone conclusion, this lady behind us was trying to show some compassion, and with the nicest intentions said "ya'll just don't understand what we've been through, it's been so long since we've been a winner." I then looked at her husband, assuming, and he just looked at me like "I know what you're thinking, she means well, and I'm sorry". I just turned around and didn't say anything.

I had a similar experience.... I'm not sure when I became a spokesman for MSU Football when I'm really just a victim. I couldn't explain what's going on out there.

us being hammered as some bar by the end of the game, was the player making the pre-game announcements on the jumbo tron, saying how great the ACC is, and be careful going home, etc. And he ended with, "Oh by the way, Go to Hell Georgia." Classic

And the black tongue....sorry DD

Yes, waiting more than 19 years for another national championship must be really tough on Tech fans. It's 68 years and counting for us!

The 2006 home loss to Tulane was my original "Croom must go" moment. AJ's endzone-to-endzone had me drinking Croom-aid again until I snapped out of it at last year's week 1 Ruston debacle. GT sealed it, then the Egg Bowl put concrete shoes on the Croom Era and threw it into the river.

You knew that the GT game was going down in flames when the stadium security snagged our booze before we even got to mix drink one. He then cheerfully proclaimed "does anybody else want to contribute?" towards the smattering of State fans in the upper endzone section.

You also failed to mention the most lasting impression of last year's GT suck-xperience: that 19-year old kid, ossified drunk, projectile vomiting all over the GT alumni, then just sitting there like he didn't realize what just happened. Witnessing that summed up how it felt to be a State fan in 2008.

when McRae deflected the pass to the DB for the second INT, so my favorite memory was the Brazilian Steakhouse we hit that night.

sumbitch blow again Saturday (went to the GT-UNC game with some friends). They must have blown it for at least 5-6 minutes. We had over 400 yards of offense in that game and scored what? 7 points?

in the 4th quarter. Down in the endzone corner of Grant.

My tailgate group, the artists formerly known as the IBBC, refused to leave until the bitter end.

And, it was hot. It was a sunny humid day.
Another memory: we sucked.
Glad those days are behind us.

There one in Houston also. Baton Rouge has one called Texas de Brazil that I actually like better. BTW, the name is Foco not Fogo.
