yesterday was fun. Didn't acomplish **** at work, but it was fun checking every 5 minutes and hoping we got a coach.

I don't think GB would fire Croom to bring in another Croom. GB has alot of cred riding on this one, this is not only a point pride/embarrassment for the university but I'm sure Greg B thinks the same way.

Just to throw it out there… the buzz at the SEC Champ game today within the media (from all schools) is that Petersen will be the MSU coach.. Nobody has anything solid to write on and the MSU AD will not speak to anybody (this is the most tight lipped coaching search I have ever followed in the SEC) but there are a lot of people claiming they have inside information that Petersen had to deny contact yesterday because of BSU's outside chance at a BCS bowl.</p>
Unfortunately for this website there will never be enough information to prove your source had solid information unless Petersen is named the coach at MSU. If he does not end up at MSU then there will probably never be another word spoken about it or how close he really was to being at MSU. BSU fans will continue to deny it but either way there was major smoke on Wed/Thurs/Fri this week and I have to believe that Petersen was interested, it was negotiated and he either tentatively accepted and later declined, or he needed the weekend to be silent for the reasons stated above. He went MUCH further in talks than he ever did at UCLA, Washington, etc.. There is pretty good evidence he met with the MSU AD face-to-face in an interview setting.. I just don't have the ability to share it.</p>

that means he was interested because I doubt Neinas would have wasted Byrne's time. For some reason, I am still holding out hope.
than I have in years on the internet. I am just busting balls, no harm meant by any of my comments. A lot of what I am saying is directed at myself, since I was just as guilty as anyone else on here yesterday talking about sources saying petersen was coming. Hell, I told everyone I talk to or txt with yesterday that petersen was a done deal. I then spoke with another source and was told otherwise. I did not by any stretch of the imagination mean to offend anyone on here. Everything that I have said has been ball busting and meant as nothing more. My point in the reply above was to say that the source that the website is speaking of is probably as accurate as mine, or any of the other sources referenced yesterday. Everyone settle down, this should be fun. If I hurt anyone's dainty little ears or eyes, i apologize.

Byrne's friendship with Petersen makes things even more suspicious. Say a friend has a job opening that he wants you to have and he tells you. He tells you "you are our man." You aren't just going to visit with him to be cordial and see what the job has to offer. He would have already told you most of these things, he is your friend. If you sit down with him, you are serious about getting somethin done. You aren't going to waste his time or try to springboard your current salary with your friend's time.

you need to just relax and quit wiggin out. who cares if the rumors turn out to be false. that's how the shaat works. sometimes they're true and sometimes they're not. give it a rest.
Wasn't complaining that sources turned out to be false. Was joking. Don't know how else to say it. The joke was that his source is no better than yours or MINE. I know we got some bad news yesterday but everyone here needs to take a deep breath and quit being so damn sensitive about stuff. Amazing

Your just setting yourself up for another let down when another coach is hired. It would be wonderful if a miracle happened, but I haven't seen many at MSU.
I made a joke earlier that out of the 2075 post, I would like to know how many were true. I know the majority of mine turned out to be ********. Once again, I am joking. I have never seen a group of men be this bitchy about a joke. I am sorry that your feelings are hurt and you are this touchy. My sources sucked too, just like yours and everyone else's. Calm down and take a deep breath. Everything will be better once we get a coach, but until then settle down. Also please produce the 10 post where I said that I was "sick of people posting rumors that don't end up true."

As black helicopter as this sounds, Byrne could have told all the boys in the Bryan Building to shut it down with the info and then Petersen releases his statement. One thing for me was Veazy has had an update everyday in the paper yet today there was not update. You would have thought such a big story would have at least had a small write up. Don't know about the DJ.
