According to 2HD's interview with Ron Polk, the reason that MSU has struggled in baseball this year is because of injuries. It has nothing to do with the fact that he and his band of merry men recruited crap.

Polk also said that he talks to Cohen, as we all know, and that he has some "tough decisions" to make regarding personnel. Well, it would be tough for him.

about cutting a player. I'm sure Cohen will hate having to do it. Afterall, it's not the player's fault that Polk and Raffo offered him a scholarship.

It isn't the players' fault that they are on the team. However, Cohen should and will be easily justified in cutting some players b/c, during the 80s, these same caliber players weren't even sniffed at by Polk and ended up at smaller colleges. The only difference now is that they actually got to wear the baseball logo for a few years.

I'm sure the way Cohen sees it is that only a certain talent level should get the opportunity to wear our logo and is working his way toward that goal.
