In this picture, I'm sure all of these "tailgaters" are hoping the Ahole in the lead will move over. By the time they realize he is a true Ahole and not just a lazy idiot, it is too late to pass on the right. Also, if the driver in the right lane is a courteous driver he would drop a few miles an hour to allow the group to pass on the right. I've done that a number of times and is no big deal.
I'm about as courteous a driver as they come. I'm always aware of my surroundings and will go out of my way to not impeded the flow of traffic. That being said, tailgating is just damn dangerous. Other people being idiots should not make you rive dangerously.
Normal people understand this. Unfortunately, there are a bunch of people who think they're entitled to drive as fast as they want on the interstate and that everyone else should adjust for them.
This. It seems the argument is that everyone should just get out of the way for the person who wants to drive the fastest.
I go 10 miles over the speed limit tops but am always astounded at people who refuse to get over. What are they proving?
Exactly. Guess he falls in the trying to piss off the person behind him category.
You're not the police. I move over to the right (really just stay to the right or center lane) for people who are driving too fast all the time. It really makes my drive a hell of a lot more peaceful and relaxing than trying to hoard the left lane and police them anyway.
We both know you're lying.I find making people actually drive the speed limit more peaceful than letting someone drive dangerously fast.
We both know you're lying.
I hope someday the wrong element doesn’t get stuck behind you. It’s not worth all that. But you do you badass.
Not worth getting shot or pushed off the wrong to make your point.
The "wrong element?" If driving slower than they'd like to be driving pisses someone off so much that they feel the need to act on it (which is what I think you're implying), that person should probably stay off the roads and seek some counseling.
I do fall in that category. My favorite thing to do when people come racing up behind me trying to do 80 or more is to make sure they're stuck behind me (because someone is in the right lane) and then slowly decrease my speed so they can't go anywhere.
Slow down and people driving the speed limit won't piss you off so much.
