..At least America's team won tonight. The Dallas Cowboys, America's most storied and beloved franchise, was able to bounce back from the shocking upset by the lowly New York Giants, to soundly defeat the Carolina Panthers 21-7.
While it wasn't pretty, the Cowboys won more than just a game...it found its soul. With a crushing defense that only allowed one first down in the second half (before they began playing prevent on the Panther's last drive), along with Tony Romo's masterful control of the running and passing game, it looks like America's team is once again in the hunt for the Super Bowl championship.
Injuries to Marion Barber and Felix Jones also led to the emergence of yet another Cowboy superstar- Tashard Choice. Choice, out of Georgia Tech, inherits the role previously held by Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith.
Hopefully, Marion Barber can return soon, and Felix Jones can resume the role of 8 yard/carry speedback. If everyone is healthy come December, look for America's team to make yet another run to glory.
As always, Wise Men Still Follow the Star.
