Almost as much as you enjoyed someone posting that Arkansas is now tied with MSU leading the West. Cool.
Tell ya who else showed up...and has quietly become THE leader of this "team"...Barry. Gotta give B. Stew some love.
Stewart's problem is that his shot selection can be very questionable for stretches and for some reason he tends to make bad decisions in the last 2 minutes of games generally. Bad things just tend to find him - kind of like Tyson Lee. For instance tonight we're down 4 with like a minute left (thanks mostly to his scoring so I'll give him that) - and he pump fakes and gets the defender in the air. Instead of going around him and getting a wide open shot he lunges into the defender, initiates the contact and doesn't get the call. Players get that call about 7 out of 10 times but I think the ref made the right call b/c Barry initiated the contact.
Kodi did a better job of letting the game come to him and took more 2 point shots which helped. He's much better from the high post area and hit a couple of nice shots there tonight.
Barry does that at least 4 times a game. He will fake a shot to get the defender in the air, then go after him to try and get the foul. It usually works 100% of the time. Just not last night.
Not saying it is the reason we lost, but that game last night was pretty poorly officiated on both sides of the court.
