...for those of you who don't remember, the USM/OM rivalry was even more bitter and angry than State/OM. In the early '80's, it was classic "the Snobs vs. the Slobs". I don't know if what was more dangerous....George "Too Tall" Tillman knocking the **** out of John Fourcade, or one of the fistfights in the stands.

But coming from them, totally expected. At least there were a few people in that thread that "get it".

What's even worse is that that's the only thing they have ever done in basketball. Ever. What are they, 0-2 all-time in the NCAA tournament? They've never even been to the NIT but a few times.

And people wonder why State & Ole Miss fans look down on them.

Beating us in basketball in the late 80s is nothing to crow about. We were awful back then. This past season we had where we went 16-15 even with the injuries, would've been considered a great success for us in the late 80s/early 90s.
