i don't think it's a bad, but i don't think it's a homerun hire either. definitely unexpected if that is the case.

Plays the power game...........

for the most part. Ark must want to go the AL/LSU/UGA route.

I think it is a homerun hire. Be interested to see how much cash it took to lure him away from Wisconsin.

I guess Bielema finally had enough of Urban Meyer's scummy SEC-inspired recruiting tactics that he brought to the ***** Ten, and he decided to leave!1111!11!1

Wait, whut?

Puts them back in the game for a very, very good RB, Altee Tenpenny. Feature back in that offense.

Great, Bo "The Lifestyle" Bounds already fellates him every chance he gets. Bielema
will definitely replace Petrino as the new man crush for Lifestyle.

I wonder how long it will take to transition Ark's offense...

It's definitely a different strategy than the QB/WR-heavy spread of Petrino to the power run game of Bielema.

You know, that's better than just yankee hot right there. That's a pretty nice body of work. +1 to Bielema.

this is the only reason i don't see this as a homerun hire. i was figuring more of a Petrino-esque style coach to better fit the personnel they already had since they had great success with the pass happy spread.

Personnel is no issue...

they can almost always produce a huge OL and RBs come a dime a dozen. It just helps that they have some explosive players on the outside.

Good coach but initially Upig doesn't have the kind of personnel to run the

type of offense he'll want to implement. He's going to want huge offenseive linemen and a power running game. I think the Pigs wills struggle again for the next couple of years. I know some will say, good coaches change the scheme to fit their personnel and that very well could be true. Will be interesting.

Good heavens! I guess that's what making a few million a year will do for ya. It's certainly not his good looks. Probably won't have to worry about him pulling a Petrino at Ark.

Will he coach the Rose Bowl before leaving?

I would if I was him. Might be his last chance at a BCS level bowl ....
