I think Bryson is going to bring it this week. He plays better with the lights on it seems and I think he’ll feast on the crowds energy.
Putting him with JT wasn’t on my radar, but maybe they’re feeling each other in the practice rounds.
Friday morning foursomes
BdC Thomas vs Rahmbo and Hatton (wow)
Scottie Henley vs Aberg Fitz
Morikawa English vs Fleetwood McIlroy
X and Cantlay vs MacIntyre Hovland

Initial thoughts… It would be great for BdC and JT to come out hot. BdC is the type of person who very well might rise up to the occasion—that might sound master of the obvious for a major winner but my point is that he might be able to channel the energy in a good way. Either way, this match has international incident potential.
Match 2 might be a bellweather match. Not to over sell it but we obviously need this pairing, Scheffler Henley, to deliver this weekend, and the earlier the better.
Match 3 looks like a 4 and 3 loss but the opportunity here is for Colin/English to outperform the expectations. Pressure on the Euros in this one.
Match 4…. I know Xander hasn’t been on form lately but these guys (X and Cantlay) tend to play well together. And Cantlay has this ice man kind of thing going and probably won’t be a victim of nerves. It won’t be an easy match—Viktor will do his part—but I like this match.

lol at keegan. Harris and collin was datagolfs worst possible 4somes pairing and JT in 4somes is dumb. It could still work, but i like Europe +165 day 1 foursomes bet
FWIW… Rose has a non-injury “issue” that figured into tomorrow’s pairings, per Paul McGinley.
Yeah, I guess it would have to be a health issue? Maybe a stomach bug or something that can come on quickly? He looked fine at the opening ceremony but who knows.
ETA—The actual quote was that there was a non-injury “reason” (not “issue”) why Rose wasn’t playing tomorrow morning. Maybe they simply decided to limit his starts, for fatigue prevention etc, and preferred to use him in 4 ball?

I can see it, but the audio is out on the Spectrum app.
YouTube TV's feed is even worse. Audio isn't synced and the feed itself keeps cutting out. It may be an NBC/USA issue, though; because every other channel on YTTV is working fine.
Morikawa has no business out there. Think Cam/Griffin would be playing much much better. We are getting embarrassed early
Honestly, I would seriously consider pairing BDC and Scottie in tomorrow's foursomes. Not in the "two best" (the old flawed Tiger/Phil mentality) but because of the similarity of their games. Both are prone to spraying it off the tee and having to recover (typically magnificently) and BDC's weakness with iron control....well, there is no one in the world better chipping than Scottie. I mean, you almost expect him to jar every missed green chip.
JT needs to hit a big shot. Maybe an unexpected chip in etc. He can get it going.
