wants to play QB but he would make one heck of a defensive end, or tackle. He is HUGE.

Book him and see if he wants to play all three.

Based on what I've seen in the last 2 state championship games, I don't think his future is at QB. But he is a freaking beast. If he wants to play QB, recruit him as a QB. Just sign him. A guy I grew up with was in a similar situation. He wasn't as good as Liggins, but he wasa QB/DB in HS and made 1st team All-State as a DB. Florida St., Bama, MSU and others recruited him as a DB. LSU was the only major school that recruited him as a QB. He went to LSU and midway through his true FR season he saw the writing on the wall and asked to be moved to DB. He wound up having a decent career for them at safety.</p>

They painted the lines in black. Pretty nice look.

Went to the game. Liggins is not a QB at the next level and I don't believe will have the mentality to play defense in college. Pretty easy to run over people in HS when you're the biggest guy on the field. Obviously different for SEC. I don't see him as a FB or TE either. Not the athleticism that allowed Sullivan at USM to move from QB to WR. Don't get me wrong...good athlete - just don't think he is an elite athlete.

Williams is good HS QB. Good size but arm strength will limit him. Freeze would offer him preferred walk-on at UM too. Sun Belt is a good fit. SEC is not.

If the guy has talent, I don't care if he's weak for SEC standards. He's not incredibly too small and he can easily gain the necessary 30- 40 lbs before his junior or senior year. Russell weighed a whopping 185 out of high school, add 4 inches.

I'd love to see him as a walk-on personally, especially if the Favre rumors are true about transferring after finals.

I know there's always that guy that comes out of nowhere from Bum17, Egypt that plays 1A ball that looks like a starting LB for the Pittsburgh Stealers but for the most part I think guys from Amory, Mississippi who have the talent at skill positions aren't going to have the resources to be 220 lbs of pure muscle. He's a project I like a whole lot more than Favre. And to be honest, if we hadn't offered our max already, Mullen would have offered or planned on offering... See: Dylan Favre.
