Armstrong led 21-7 in the 3rd quarter when game was delayed due to lightning. Somehow it was reported as Armstrong forfeit which I find odd. There are no lights at Thomas Jefferson (which us why I thought the game would be played at Virginia Union).

I read the rule (sort of) and still do not understand why it is an Armstrong forfeit especially since it was a TJ home game. Can somebody help?

If one team does not forfeit then both teams will have a forfeit. So I imagine Armstrong decided to take the hit

OK that still makes "0" sense; but apparently Armstrong appealed and now the game will be finished on Monday.
This is what happened between Carroll Co and Salem several yrs ago. If the game is not determined by regionals then both teams would lose the game. During COVID they just made missed games no contests
