That the playmakers were going to be put in positions to make plays. I think Bumphis touched the ball once and Elliott twice, not counting the blocked punt. We certainly looked to revert back to Mississippi State Football.

I noticed during the JSU game Bumphis was missing blocks. I guess since we were more successful runnign tonight, Bumphis wasn't gonna get many reps. However, when he did get the ball that one time, it was a nice paly and gain.

Bumphis cannot block when someone else had the ball

And I think one of our best players, #9, touched it quite a bit, which he should have more than Elliot. Hell at this point put those 2 on defense.

It sure helped having WRs out there who could block. Had we foolishly played Bumphis instead the outcome might have been different. Thankfully we sat him on the sideline and got the win. Wait a minute...

It's just dumb to me to sit a player who misses a few things here or there when you are getting creamed and said player has the ability to take it to the house on any given play. I've never understood that and never will. If I'm going to get beat in a game, and my offense is having trouble moving the ball anyway, I'm going to put my playmakers on the field and get them the ball. Also, how hard is it to put some sort of wildcat plays in with Bumphis running them, or line him up at RB and run the option with he and Relf? What I saw tonight on offense concerning playcalling was disappointing to say the least. We are limited by talent, but what little talent we have was mostly wasted save Dixon. If we are going to lose (and we will save a massive improvement in defense) let's lose while throwing everything we've got out there, throwing caution to the wind, and pulling out all the stops.
