Would you agree that 4 & 5 star players have an advantage in the first round this year?

Your point WOULD be valid, but only if

there were equal numbers of 2*, 3*, 4* and 5* players each year. If there are as many 2* players drafted in the first round as 5* players, there is still a HUGE advantage to being a 5* player, as a MUCH larger percentage of them drafted.

Maths is hard.

The math isn't on your side.

@SBNRecruiting: 40 picks in, 4/5-stars, which make up roughly 8% of all D1 recruits, make up 55% of the NFL draft. @rivalsmike @247Sports @ScoutKennedy

There will always be a Patrick Willis, Khalil Mack, Bortles, etc and there will always be 5* busts but they tend to get it right more often than not.

It wouldn't be a debate if ole miss didn't beat us every February. There's been thread after thread on this backing the success percentage of 4 and 5 stars but agendas always prevail.

I don't understand how this is really up for debate still?

Haha, you and me both. Every year the draft proves that higher rated recruits have a higher probability of panning out....and every year people point to the 2/3 star players that were taken in the first round as evidence that the star system is ********. It is truly amazing.
