WICHITA — Former heavyweight champion Tommy Morrison was arrested last night in downtown Wichita.</p>
Morrison,
41, was taken into custody at 6:46 p.m. Thursday at 125 N. Market on
suspicion of marijuana possession, according to police records.</p>
Police were called to the fitness club at that address to check out a report of a suspicious person, Capt. Troy Livingston said.</p>
"It went from there," he said.</p>
Morrison surrendered without incident, Livingston said.</p>

native of Oklahoma who defeated George Foreman to win the World Boxing
Organization's heavyweight title in 1993, Morrison gave an address in
the 8300 block of East Harry for his residence on the booking report.</p>
Morrison formed a children's charity based in Maize last summer.</p>
He lost the heavyweight title later in 1993, and finished his boxing career with a record of 46-3-1, with 40 knockouts.</p>
Morrison, who starred in the movie "Rocky V" in 1990, was diagnosed with HIV in 1996.</p>
