What's the real scoop with the Tropical Isle after the big fire? I saw one report that quoted Earl the owner saying they would work day and night to re-build it.

Luckily this is the one on the corner of Toulouse and Bourbon and not Orleans and bourbon. I've always considered it the "secondary" tropical isle for some reason.

Regardless, what i would give right now for a hand grenade on this tuesday morning....

Like Robbie said, this wasn't the big one. This one had bands inside, was small and really dark. The 2nd one is better anyways b/c it has the big upstairs bar and balcony (One of the few, if only, balcony on Bourbon with tables.)
