I got a chance to watch Kiel Frazier (sp?) from Shiloh play on Friday and was not impressed. Because of the way their field is set up, I, and others, actually walked through the Shiloh team as they prepared to run through the blow up tunnel onto the field. He looks the part of a great QB standing there. But, watching him play, he didn't. I don't think he completed on swing pass. He threw everyone at the recievers feet. He had several ugly looking passes that great receivers adjusted to. Those recievers then made 5 or 6 people miss on their way to a 60 yard TD. I'm sureFrazier's stat sheet at the end of the game looked great but it was more about the team he plays on than him. He was also a lot slower running than I expected.

Mitch Mustain part 2? Maybe Frazier doesn't have a mom running blocker and can stay around Malzahn long enough to develop into something. But yeah, you are right. He has the size. It remains to be seen if he is that good. Or the competition in Arkansas is just bad?

I think Malzahn, if he stays at Auburn, will develop him into a decent to good QB.

However, there are a few reasons I think it would be a waste of time to re-recruit him:

1) We were way down his list originally,
2) By all accounts, Dak Prescott is a very solid QB recruit (LSU is bringing the heat on him now also) that fits our system, and
3) It's probably best to steer clear of all high-profile Auburn commits - I'm sure they are under the microscope.

It is not about the competition. They recruit all the best talent from all the other schools in the area including the edges of Oklahoma and Missouri. They have the fundsto arrange jobs for parents, scholarships, etc. They are "funded" by not only 1 mega church but 2 with a 3rd on the way. The school was originally part of 1st Baptist Sringdale, but they have added another mega church in Rogers (10-15 miles away) and are starting one in Fayetteville. These churches have members like the Tysons, Waltons, Hunts (JB Hunt), etc...... Example - They have a jumbotron as part of their scoreboard to show replays. They are competing in a 4A class of a 7A class system. They would probably win the 7A title each year but are in 4A because of # of students.
