Looking at the projected starters, could you imagine how scary Louisa would be in 2019 if Brandon Smith was only a junior and coming back? Still, they are extremely junior heavy. So what I'm getting at is, as great as he is, wouldn't expect the Lions to fall off when he does graduate because of how much they'll have returning next year.
And from what I saw from the JV team today (even though they lost 29-28 to Courtland in a great game), the varsity team could have a stud freshman QB and stud sophomore RB added to the mix next year.
Good size. Nice mix of youth and some veterans. Sounds like the Lions will be a factor for years to come.
Louisa has built something, and is being very blessed with a lot of talent at the same time. Like I said before, consistency is key, so we'll see if the program is consistent now.
