Yanking the field goal team to put the ball in the hands of a QB who is having

his worst night of the season, not to mention is a psycho head case. Not even Merlinz or Croomz can match that one.

At the very least, try a quick down and out pass. Nine secs is enough for that. Don't connect, you can still try a long fg. It wasn't 4th down was it?

bo didn't help him. bo coulda thrown it to a different spot...

but.... ultimately, it is freeze that 17'd it up. bo was sucking the 4th quarter, so freeze calls for the win?

numbskull.

Bo to throw it right where he did, then when it got picked he looked at Bo like nooooo! What a douche

That was priceless. He was pointing to throw it to him and then after he threw it he sees the DB and yells NOOOOO!!! And looks at Bo like how did you not see that guy. Guess who is getting thrown under the bus?

He continually makes stupid calls. He did it against bama last year on more than one occasion.

all joking aside, i would be pissed if i had a kicker capable of hitting that (and with a 46 yard fg on the ledger, a 47 yarder is certainly within the realm of realistic probability) and trotted his *** off the field after pretending like we were about to kick it...much less for that **** *** play. if they complete that short of a td, the game is over. just dumb all around.

Not on Freeze, IMO. I assure you the play call wasn't throw it rkght at the safety dropping deep.

I thought running another play off the LSU time out was the right call. Just not that play and hell no for Bo's execution throwing it up for grabs. Run a 10 yard out. If it's open throw it, if not throw it away. You still have enough time to kick the long FG if you throw it away or don't take a sack. That FG with a FR kicker in a packed Death Valley was maybe 50/50 at best.

Agreed. Of course, it was Freeze's fault they were backed up to a 47-yard FG to begin with. It was 3rd down. Just spike the ball and bring your kicker in to kick a 42-yard FG. It's not complicated.

I'm sure he told the team in the locker room that he'd just have to go out and recruit harder.

The play and the execution were terrible but I don't think going for the TD would've been the worst decision. They probably lose that game in OT and the field goal isn't a sure thing in the first place. Try to get Treadwell a jump ball in the end zone. He's as likely to catch it as LSU, and it probably falls incomplete anyway and you can still try the fg.
