I'm sure most of the votes will be because we know the Col hurt their program...but the media will not spin it that way...most outside the SEC don't even know the difference between our schools...including ESPN half the time....we MUST organize now and NOT allow this ******** to take place at OUR HOUSE on NATIONAL t.v.....let those cluster 17s waddle in their own **** at their own 17ing outhouse in oxford

We joke about it, but a Constitutional amendment is a pretty serious thing and not something that should be used to force a school to choose a certain mascot. Nobody forced Mississippi to get rid of Col Reb or to add the Bear. They chose to do it. Just remember, if something like this can be used to force them to go back to Col Reb, it could also be used to force MSU to do something not in our best interests too. For those that think the publicity and controversy would somehow damage their football program, you're way overestimating the impact it would have on them.

While the legal documents of the great state of Mississippi is already littered with crap from ill-thought amendments, you're absolutely right about this being a new low.

While it doesn't have quite compare to the U.S. Constitution, adding this would still be the equivalent of ordering Kobe beef and smothering it in ketchup.

This would have more an impact on the state than it would Ole Miss. The institution is trying to get rid of it, the ignorant masses are the ones trying to force it back.

..it's amazing how the MSU fanbase will swear life-long hatred for all things University of Mississippi, yet when they start some corny ******** about their 17ing mascot, 30,000 Miss. State-affiliated idiots rush to the rescue.

If you are a MSU fan, keep out of their mascot ********! What are you? Freakin' 5 years old?

Who give a flying 17 about some g'damn Oxford mascot.

And please get over this "I respect their tradition" & "it's not politically correct so I'm on board" ********.

You're a grown adult. Aim your respect towards Miss. State University & please start acting like one.

Edit to add: No MSU fan got involved in this "because it will hurt their program." That much sophisticated thinking ddin't go into this.

The MSU fans getting involved in this are the ones buying into the "I respect their tradition" & "It's politically incorrect so I'm on board" crap.
