Casey Simmons: Top 100 recruit per 247 and second-highest-rated player to commit to NU behind Nance (just ahead of Vic Law). #133 on Rivals. Offers included BC, Georgetown, Miami, Pitt, Penn State, Rhode Island, Richmond, Texas.

Julian Roper: #141 nationally per Rivals, #152 on 247, though that seems to understate his offer list. Big Ten offers included Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio State, and had interest from Michigan and MSU.

Brooks Barnhizer: #201 on 247. Offers included Butler, Xavier and Western Kentucky.

And another friendly reminder that NU loses no one (necessarily) from the current team to graduation.

Still a long season and we're not going to win them all, but these two Big Ten wins are major building blocks and confidence-builders for the program.

Happy holidays!!!

Three legit D1 recruits likely to stay. Next years team will have a new dimension in depth to go with recently developed length and 3 guards that can score. Collins is putting solid together.

Great point. Some nice guys on the way to join a young and improving team. And as others have mentioned, if a certain someone decides to take a second look at NU... look out!

Would obviously be a game-changer, but even without him or Christie (remember when we thought both were possible?) the point stands that NU will probably have its deepest team in recent memory next year.

That's always been the projection, but it's nice to actually see some wins from the core group so far this season.

The up-tempo style and recent success bode well for 2022 recruiting. We will probably be looking for bigs since we will be pretty deep at guard for a change.
