The story is this Bama fan made a sign that had 'Gott<span style="text-decoration: underline;">fired</span>' on it and he got Gottfried's signature on it. There are pictures.

But that's not the best part:

There was a father with his son next to me and the kid was crying. "Why didn't we win daddy?" The father replied, "You just can't win them all, especially when your coach is Mark Gottfried."

The closest I've ever come to doing something like that was last year at Polk's last game. I bought a Diamond Girls calendar and seriously thought about having Tommy Raffo sign it.
