From an Auburn and MSU alum......

I know no one likes to hear the "hold your head up" speech, but MSU has more to be excited about than they have in the past 5 years. The game last night reminded me of the early 90's Auburn/MSU games. As an Auburn fan (and MSU alum), it would be niave to say that the new dynamic in Starkville will not pay off.

At the end of the game when the camera was on Relf and he was crying on a coach's shoulder, that shows heart and show determination. He knew they had us beat.

You will go bowling this year, so get ready!

War Eagle and good luck the rest of the season.</p>

AU is softer and looser than a $2 singapore ***** on the corners. Ark, UGA, and possibly USCeast will throw the ball at will on y'all MFers. And if I was cheesedick, I'd probably try to figure out a way to avoid Tuscaloosa altogether. What is going to happen to y'all up there may lead to new NCAA regulations on rape and pillage.

you went to MSU and you're an Auburn fan? Seriously? I do not see how it possible to

(a) be a sports fan
(b) attend a university with a major sports team
(c) end up a fan of said university's division rival

You think anyone ever says "I went to Oklahoma State but I'm a Texas fan." or "Yeah, my degree is from LSU but Roll Tide."

listed Auburn first I would guess that his undergraduate degree is from Auburn with graduate work at State. Most people form their sports team association on the undergraduate level so he was probably a die-hard Auburn fan before he set foot in Vegas. But still, Todd is right we don't need that ******** here today.

...abandoning the running game after the on-side kick recovery was classic Sly Croom stupidity.

That, coupled with other Sly Croom-like decisions by Mullen, handed Auburn a game that MSU should have won.

Having said that, Auburn has some speed on defense & a QB who no defense (outside of Alabama) will be able to account for. Having said that, your special teams are very pathetic. I see a 7 win season for Auburn.

We did most of the damage through the air on the TD drive before the onside. So I wouldn't say we abandoned the running game.

..how the successful execution of the option opened up the passing game. After the on-side kick was recovered, Mullen tried to turn Relf into Eli Manning.

If anybody thought Mullen was an offensive genius going into this game, they are not thinking it today.

taleoftwodogs is correct, I did my undergrad work at Auburn and graduate work at MSU. I sincerely apologize to those who do not have the ability to understand how a person can go to two different schools. MSU had the graduate program that would better prepare me for the field I am in.

I know the replies by most on this thread do not represent the majority of the folks I met in Starkville during my time there. It is easy to brag and talk trash, but instead I wanted to come over and say congrats on a hard fought game and yall will do well this season.

To the respectable MSU fans, great game.To all you overweight, beer guzzling, high school drop out, douche bags.........I apologize if I offended you.

and I hate it just as much as the next reasonable college sports fan. I know a specific Bama fan (grew up a bama fan IN Alabama.) Now, his parents didn't attend, but he did grow up liking them. State offers a degree he doesn't have, etc yada yada yada he'll root for MSU but LOVES bama. I hate it. I hate that he does this, but it definitely happens.

it did allow this psychophant to scratch two games off his "concerned" list....

that being said, I have never seen two rival programs (msu{up} and um{down}) pass each other soooooo quickly...

Well, I went to UGA and am a die-hard MSU fan. It is what it is. Grew up that way; why would I change just because I went to school there? I can't force myself to be a fan of a certain school. Always have been an MSU fan, and I can't change that. Went to one UGA game my entire time there...when MSU came into town.
