He was offered the OL job for Cheesedick when he was hired at Auburn and turned it down. Hard for me to imagine him going to UCA when he's got such a sweet deal in Perkinston.
I would take it. That would put you one step away from a BCS HC position if you're successful. Probably wouldn't happen as Auburn OL coach.
Central Arkansas is a FCS school. Their stadium holds 9,000 fans and their HC left after 13 seasons to take the prestigious head gig at Stephen F. Austin. So if he's lucky by the time he's 70 he can move to an even better FCS program.
Going to UCA would be the end of his road.

My uncle is pretty involved in NJCAA athletics and knows Steve well. Steve has a sweet set-up, I assure you. He wouldn't make much more if not the exact same but he'd be dealing with a lot less talent. He gets to mingle with Saban, Richt, and every other top coach in the country on a regular basis. Why would he leave for a mediocre FCS program? There's no point. Guy is happy at MGCCC. He needs to be at MSU, and according to my uncle he really likes us... which only makes me angrier that we don't get more players from him.
