Freezus sold the lines we've arrived

"We did it so fast." But fans won't be happy with perrinial 8-4.

Freezus was given an Audi and asked to beat a few Porsche. The perception will be bad return on investment.

2015 schedule will do him no favors. Then the admin put him behind the 8-ball in 2016. The hot seat will burn that shine off that halo real fast.

If they lose Saturday - Ole Miss carbon copied MSU 2012 as far as schedule. Except we got an SEC win instead of Presbyterian in our downturn.

He'll be on the "Hot Seat" as much as Mullen was after 2012. (Which is to say, he's not in any real danger but the masses will be restless)

Their season actually reminds me a lot of our 2012 season.

He has a shot at having his best year. Each year he has improved. 7 wins year 1, 8 wins year 2, 8 wins year 3 with two games left. If that will get you on the hot seat good luck hiring a decent replacement.

Cutcliffe was fired because "7-4 isn't good enough"... so the real question will be if he wins more than 7 or 8 next year and if State keeps Dak and racks up the wins. It will come down to next year's Egg Bowl.

TSUN fans do not realize that THIS was their window year. Next year, they lose a lot of quality players and start a QB that has seen almost no action. Then, follow that up with 2016 where they lose the fabled recruiting class.

We win the EB this year. Then have a better year than they do next year with another EB (it will be in Starkville). He will be gone.

Shakelford, Sanders, Bryant, Lewis. that is a LOT of defensive snaps

between those players. And I know they will rally and say that they have recruits that will replace them but those recruits do not seem to have been able to beat them out of time so far...

And, they pick up a road game in the swamp next year.

To be fair, they did beat the #1 team in the nation....in 2012 we didn't beat a team with a winning record (except for MTSU).

Ole Miss will absolutely not be better next year than they were this season. Bo Wallace makes them go. If he had not signed with Freeze, his record would be much worse. They may be able to stay in 8-4 range, as their offensive line at some point has to mature. They do not have any game breaking tailbacks either. They lose a good many players off the defense. No way they sniff an SECW title or the playoff.

I think MSU will be the same way, probably 8-4 and will win the Egg Bowl in Starkville.

Actually, he did quite the opposite

"We did it so fast." But fans won't be happy with perrinial 8-4.

Freezus was given an Audi and asked to beat a few Porsche. The perception will be bad return on investment.

I hate to rain on this parade, cause messing with OM is a lot of fun... but pre-season, Hugh spent a lot of time tempering expectations. So much so, that I pointed it out here (or ED) at one point... Pre-season, it sounded to me like Hugh knew the expectations were WAAAAAAAYYYYY out of whack and was trying to temper them. Little did he know that the marketing prowess of OM would overcome the CEO of the product in regards to setting expectations.

Well, it was 4-7, but Cut should still be a warning to us.

After Dan loses the best qb we've ever had at MSU, there will be some regression. No need to panic and get stuck in an Orgeron situation.
