Those are the worst helmets in MSU history...

So who really knows what to expect tomorrow? I like the shoulder strips, but don't care for the helmet stripes. Hopefully they won't be there tomorrow...

They look like crap. If I ran into Strick today I'd tell him to his face they look like crap, and I hope someone from the department is reading this so they can see that I think they look like crap. Crap.

It's not that hard... modernize and de-Nike-fy the fanbase's all-time favorite jerseys and tell the Adidas people "make us this jersey". We're a pretty understanding fanbase. We know that we can't have the MSJ logo. We understand "branding" and the less-than-desirable "Mississippi State" banner is there to stay... but please... please... please stop rewarding our diehard fandom of this school, a school that has been so hard to be a fan of throughout its history, with CRAP!

With our restructered contract with Adidas we're actually not paying for jerseys anymore, so we obviously have some leverage when it comes to them wanting us to wear their products... send them back and tell them to redo the entire uni.

And this coming from a guy who actually liked the jersey, somewhat. The helmet and the socks and the shoes tied all that I thought was looking promising into a turd.

I think there uniforms are Adidas' way of differentiating themselves from the trendy and progressive nike and under armour uniforms. I think Adidas is going for a sharp yet classic look.

That's one way of looking at it. But if you take into consideration that Adidas said in the unveiling they designed A&M's jerseys to look like their 1970's jerseys, which they do... they look almost identical with the 2 stripes, then why did we get the stripes too? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Adidas/Strick/whoever will say tomorrow at the official unveiling that they had the 1980's retro jerseys in mind when designing our new ones... which is a load of BS. Texas A&M was a national competitor in the 1970's... we were crap in the 1980's. There's zero reason we have stripes other than Adidas got extremely lazy.

Hypothetically speaking and they actually did "design" our jerseys to resemble the 1980's jerseys... why wouldn't they design them to look like the 1990's jerseys? It's a load of BS, man. Adidas can go 17 themselves.
