From ESPN: Sources: Mizzou to meet with Anderson

Someone explain to me how this is a good move for Anderson? If anything, it's almost a downgrade because Missouri has had some great teams. Unless UGA's $$$ is the appeal but Stedman Coliseum is worse than the Hump.

What I'm hearing though is that Anderson has been waiting on Calipari's decision so that he'd know if the Memphis job were to come available. It's possible he may have offers from both Memphis and Georgia to either use for a major raise at Mizzou, or just a chance to jump ship to another job.

I don't think UGA basketball though would be anything more than a lateral move, and it would probably be a slight step down from Mizzou.

It's a definite downgrade, unless UGA is offering significantly more money than Mizzou. - And now that I read the story, I see why he would want the UGA job. Mizzou paid him $850K this year and is willing to up that to $1.3M for next year. UGA is offering $2M. Case closed.
